Platon is one of my most admired photographers, he recently photographed key figures behind the “Civil Rights Movement” for the New Yorker.
He talks to Charlie Rose about some of the stories while making those images.
He shared his approach and what he had learned both as a photographer and a human being.

I spent my Christmas Day 2009 at Patel’s residence, and I exposed a pack of expired instant film. It was my first pack of fuji instant, only wish I could afford a pack of polaroid now.
All shots taken handheld in available light, which wasn’t much!
